This 211 California mobile app helps connect Californians quickly and effectively to existing health and human service programs, joblessness support and disaster response information in their communities. It is a compliment to the 211 free telephone number, which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in 150 different languages.
211 California is a statewide network of local 211 information and referral providers, and is a collaboration of United Ways of California and the California Alliance of Information and Referral Services (CAIRS). Currently 92% of California’s population in 29 counties has access to 211. Nationally, 211 services are available to 80% of the US population.
